Hi, I'm Shannon!
I'm a wedding and portrait photographer, living in the state of Wisconsin. I enjoy photographing smiles as well as taking care of them as I am also a dental hygienist. I met my husband while photographing a wedding. He was the best man and I was the photographer. We have two little kitties and a new baby girl! My love for photography began when I picked up a camera in high school, and the rest is history. I credit my growth, gratitude, art & accomplishments to my Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ.

Photography is not only a passion of mine, but it is my absolute favorite artistic outlet to allow one to express themselves in front of the camera and bring people's stories to life.
It is such a special privilege to be part of everyones next journey; to capture the joy on a wedding day, first family session, proposal, or yearbook photo. I find that wedding photos are my favorite to capture!
My first priority when meeting new clients is to make them comfortable being in front of the camera. I take steps prior to your session to get to know you better, whether through my client questionnaire, or engaging through a phone call. I want to know you & I want to know your vision!
When your session does come around, we feel like friends, not strangers! I do my best work when clients can trust me and feel comfortable around me. So, I establish this early on in your booking process. That way when you're in front of the camera, there is no awkwardness, just fun with intention. Be ready to gain a hype woman and a new friend!
Shooting Style
I strive for authenticity in whatever I shoot. I want your photos to feel like you! I do give light direction during your session, but will mostly give you prompts that bring out your personality. I do like a mix of editorial style as well and I aim to capture the details of your session that really tell the whole story. I remind clients that sessions should be true to who you are, from the location to the outfits. It all helps me capture your true self.
Editing Style
I love true warm tones and light, mixed together. I am hugely inspired by film, and love a good grainy moment as much as a crisp photo. It truly depends on the location and clients. Each session has unique lighting and no one is the same. While I aim for consistency in my editing, I do keep tones true to what your session looked like the day of. I am newly entering the arena of documentary styled soft/muted tone editing, and also playing with brightening up colors and lighting for photos as well. Check out my Editing Add-On page to see more!
